Since around December 2018 (it’s April 2019 at the time of writing), I’ve been going through a pretty horrific depressive episode.As you’ll already know if you’ve read my ebook on self-care, depressive episodes aren’t anything new to my. I’ve been suffering from depression since I was a kid. A while ago, I wrote a blog post on good habits you should practise in order to improve your mindset and positive thinking, and it was SO POPULAR with you guys.You also seemed to really enjoy my post on habits that could be harming your mindset that you should stop.Therefore, I figured, let’s hone in on some specific habits that will improve not just your thinking, but you mental health specifically.Having suffered from severe depression and anxiety since childhood, these habits have been crucial in improving my mental health. If one slips, so does my state of mind.Of course, this still happens from time to time. I’m still fighting my own battles every single day, and some days I have to battle a LOT harder than others.However, these habits definitely help make those hard days occur less and less often.
I probably don’t need to tell you how important it is to have a consistent morning routine in place when it comes to productivity, positive thinking and mental health… but I’m gonna… It’s super important.
Most of us want to achieve true happiness in our lives. Whatever that is.
However, in a world where we’re constantly comparing ourselves to others, glued to social media, and chasing stuff we don’t have, this can be pretty difficult.
Most of the time, we don’t even realise we’re hindering our own happiness because these habits are so deeply ingrained.
In my opinion, it’s pretty difficult to be happy ALL the time. Factors such as mental health, life events and situations all come into play once in a while. But there are steps you can take to help you along the way.
If you’re struggling with positive thinking, there’s a strong possibility that you’re still engaging in negative habits that you don’t even really realise are having an impact.
